May 2010: Java Testing Tidbits

In the spirit of a lead-up to CITCON 2010 in Wellington this June, we are hosting a Tidbits session on Continuous Integration and Testing. We have two sessions planned.

Bruce Chapman has got some stuff going to make Hudson audit itself, and generate a report showing which job configurations comply and don't comply with various audit criteria (such as publishing artifacts, discarding old builds, building at least monthly, NOT using svn update etc) all driven from a simple (as possible but no simpler) config file to specify the audit rules.

Nigel Charman and Nick Jones present the great Concordion - FitNesse showdown. Well, they discuss acceptance-driven testing and compare two leading frameworks.

Speakers

Bruce Chapman has been programming with Java since 1998 and is a member of the JSR-269 (Pluggable Annotation Processing API) expert group.

Nigel Charman is a committer on the JiBX/WS project and an independent consultant on Java and web services. Nigel also works with Assurity Consulting, delivering training and mentoring on Agile development tools and practices to clients throughout New Zealand.

Nick Jones has been developing applications with Java for 5 years and has a keen interest in leading edge and emerging development technologies.
