October 15th 5:00 for 5:15 - 6:30 pm 2008 — Groovy
Groovy is a dynamic language designed from the ground up for the Java Platform. Groovy has a flexible and elegant syntax, and provides dynamic features such as closures and metaprogramming. At the same time, it is compatible with Java at both the language and library levels, which means that it integrates seamlessly into Java projects.
This talk provides an introduction to Groovy, to give you a taste for its features. Many examples are provided, with an emphasis on using Groovy for scripts.
